We recently stayed at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa prior to our white sturgeon fishing trip with BC Sport Fishing Group on the Harrison River.           While fishing 20 miles west of Bamfield on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, a large sea lion grabbed onto a coho salmon at the end of the fishing line and refused to let go. The battle lasted over for three minutes. The sea lion eventually won.

We spent the morning of December 8th with Kurt and Barry, who released around 150 of these large brood trout into Green Timbers Lake in Surrey, BC. It was developed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the mid 1960s, which aimed to increase spawning opportunities for salmon.
