Their company was known as RL Winston, a combination of the two mens last names, and the rods they made soon earned acclaim for their innovative design and exceptional craftsmanship. As the word spread, Winstons quickly became the choice of serious anglers around the world who wanted smooth casting; powerful, very accurate rods that offered superb touch and feel. Pick up a Winston, and youll be holding a rod with a flawless finish, precisely aligned snake and stripping guides, a grip thats been sanded by hand and a reel seat made with the finest components and engraved with the Winston logo.
