I have started a aquarium, and have some bluegills that I caught at a local lake. I don’t like the feel of the fish so I’m gonna release the bluegills and start of with some tropical fish maybe some Angle fish or something. Since the fish is completely different, should I empty the tank and start new or just do a partial water change.

I have start my saltwater cycle process for about a week in a half now and i didn’t know this before but i had add a amquel into my fish tank from the start. Why can’t i detect any ammonia in my fish tank yet? Should i do a partial water change to remove the amquel medication? I also realize and add a raw shrimp in with my live sand and live rock the i’d bought already cure.
