Fishing in Shetland is something special. A couple of mates and I went up for a Kayaking trip but were lucky enough to get taken out on a Commercial Boat to get amongst some of the monster fish. The highlights included a PB for all of us for Cod, Coalie and Ling and a possible Scottish record for Stevie for Torsk. The fishing and scenery were amazing but the thing that will be remembered most is the people. Shetlanders are a breed apart – hardy, hard working, strong, friendly, hospitable and generous. They have a cold climate but there is much warmth on the islands. Thanks to the Skipper for taking us out and everyone else for helping and making us feel welcome. Three days on and the fatigue and weary muscles are starting to abide but fortunately the memories will last forever.

My “Use Restricted Items” glitch already has an amazing use minutes after it’s discovery. Use Restricted Items: www.youtube.com After I said I was going to the fishing pond to see if I could break it, Petrie911 immediately threw out the idea of getting hit by a bomb while fishing so props to him (although I would have tested it anyway :P ). BA and RBA are possible. RBA works very similarly to the original game with minor changes. Lots of testing to be done still though.

1.6.6 Seed info: The map seed is 730872221697786298 There exists an large flat grassy savanna/tundra plain at X:0, Z:-160, perfect for large scale projects with some large local cave networks beneath. If you are starting a new world with this seed, you will spawn relatively close to this area. The beachfront area you see in this video is located at X:-580, Z:150 and is where I used to have a fortification until I discovered the aformentioned flat plain. However, with this area there are also some very large and mineral rich local cave networks. My first Minecraft video, demonstrating the offensive capabilities of the humble fishing rod, by casting a line out and hooking it onto an enemy and then reeling them in for close attack. It can also be done from a height. So for instance if you have a high wall in your defenses and want to defend your home from creepy (pun) crawlies without risking yourself getting hurt, bust out the fishing rod. Just be careful though, that if you’re reeling in an enemy from a high defensible location, that you don’t fling them right over your head or into your face. Especially if it’s a Creeper, this happened to me once and as such I had no choice but to jump from my tower to the ground to avoid having a Creeper explosion damaging my tower, and incurring several hearts of fall damage in the process.

Casting a fishing rod can be tricky, and we’ve all had knots in our spools. A fisherman will show you how to adjust your reel so that you never get knots again.

NOTE: This was not discovered by me. It was discovered by Masterdiabolo. But his video was of relatively bad quality, and he made it look really difficult, when it’s actually easy. To do it, follow these steps. 1. Swim close to the edge of the pond. 2. Dive, and then release A, and rapidly press B. (If it worked, Link will cast, then fall a short distance, which triggers the glitch) 3. Leave with the rod. ^_^ This means that the infamous rod glitch is possible in EVERY version! I did this on my GameCube. When you change the rod into a deku stick on the GC version, it lets you use it as an adult. Pretty neat. Furthermore, if you “break” the invisible stick (hit it against a wall), then the Master Sword’s blade come flying out of nowhere and disappears. When you press B again, he brings out another invisible stick, and it can be done again.
