I was in discussion today with a friend who keeps tropical fish. It came to the subject of Marine fish and Brackish fish. Although I do understand some Brackish fish can live with Tropical Fish, but I I am absolutely certain that NO MARINE fish can live with tropical fish or Brackish fish? Or could they? Can anyone clear this up for me please and would be so grateful for a list of brackish fish or Marine fish which may live with tropical fish. We used to have tropical fish years ago, however when we moved cross country we donated our fish to the local school because they would not have survived the trip. Our tropicals lived long lives.
My mother and myself seem to have agreed on Marine fish as she likes the living coral and I like the marine fish however even when we had tropical fish we were told marine fish were so hard to keep. Are the salt levels as hard as they we have been told to keep??

I have started a aquarium, and have some bluegills that I caught at a local lake. I don’t like the feel of the fish so I’m gonna release the bluegills and start of with some tropical fish maybe some Angle fish or something. Since the fish is completely different, should I empty the tank and start new or just do a partial water change.
